The company, Lykotex, was established in November 1952 when the first equipment for producing flax and flax hards went into operation.
In 1984, the company changed its main focus in the manufacturing program and started with production of nonwovens.

Currently, LYKOTEX Slovakia, s.r.o. not only processes primary and secondary fibers but also recycles waste textile material and produces nonwoven textiles made by needling, thermal bonding, and laminating.
The production lines enable the creation of nonwovens with various weights and widths.

We are the third largest company in Slovakia dealing with the recycling of worn-out clothing, post-consumer and post-industrial textile waste generated during manufacture of yarns, especially synthetic yarn,
production of the fabrics and resulting clothing articles.

We process approximately 1.500 ton of textile waste annually.
